What is an Eyelid Lift?

Posted on August 10, 2016 under Eyelid Surgery

The Eyelid Lift, also called Blepharoplasty, is a plastic surgery procedure performed on the upper and/or lower eyelids to improve the appearance by reducing common signs of aging like lines, creases, sagging and puffiness. In some extreme cases patients have had such sever sagging as to disrupt their vision–for most patients, however, the signs of aging are less dramatic, but substantial enough to make them feel self-conscious of their appearance and what it may be communicating to the world on their behalf. When the skin around our eyes starts to droop, sag and wrinkle, it can give us the appearance of being constantly worn down, and not well rested. This is not usually the image we wish to project to the world as we go about our lives or business.
Blepharoplasty can create a natural looking result that leaves patients looking well rested, rejuvenated and refreshed. That said, blepharoplasty may not be right for everyone, to learn more about this procedure and to find out if you may be a good candidate, contact our office to schedule your confidential consultation with Dr. Taylor today.
