How Dysport® Works

Like Botox, Dysport is made up of botulinum toxin type A to temporarily prevent targeted muscles from contracting. This helps to prevent wrinkles and lines from forming. During treatment, Dysport is injected into the targeted areas using a fine needle. While most patients do not require anesthetic, a topical anesthetic can be applied to ensure comfort during treatment. Treatment are quick, commonly only lasting around 20 minutes.

When can I expect results from Dysport®?

Most patients can expect to see improvement in wrinkles and lines two to three days after their injections. Dysport results commonly last about four months. Patients can schedule touch-up appointments in order to maintain their smoother complexion.

Is Dysport® right for me?

Adults under the age of 65 who wish to soften wrinkles between the eyebrows and along the forehead can often benefit from Dysport. Individuals who are allergic to cow’s milk protein or have a skin infection at the planned injection site should not receive Dysport treatments.
