Juvederm Volbella®

in Rogers, Bentonville, Fayetteville, Springdale Arkansas

Many parts of the face start to wrinkle, sag or lose definition as aging sets in. Lips often start to become thinner, wrinkled and look flat. For patients who wish to have fuller, plump lips that mark the signs of youth and beauty there are various treatments that can help. One of the most popular ways to augment the lips is with Juvederm Volbella® injections, and we offer this treatment here at Taylor Plastic Surgery.

How Does Juvederm Volbella Work?

Juvederm Volbella is a dermal filler that comes from the Juvederm products from Allergen. It is approved by the FDA for use in the lips for augmentation. This dermal filler was specially formulated to add fullness to the lips, improve symmetry, and smooth out wrinkles and fine lines. This injectable has a smooth gel-like consistency. It will be injected directly into predetermined points in the lips and around the mouth.  The gel is made of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine. Hyaluronic acid is natural sugar in the body that helps to retain moisture and the structure of the skin. Lidocaine is a type of local anesthetic that is used to help minimize discomfort in the injection site. The results from the Juvederm Volbella treatment will look natural and subtle so that no one will guess that you had anything done.

How Long Does Juvederm Volbella Last?

The results from Juvederm Volbella have proven to be long-lasting in most patients. Most people enjoy their plump, smooth lips for up to a year. At this point, if you would like to maintain the look, repeat Volbella treatments can be scheduled here at the practice of Dr. Robert Taylor and Dr. Kasia Kania.
